Welcome, I'm

PhD Fellowship · AI Researcher

University of Minho, Portugal

I work on applied Artificial Intelligence across multiple domains, building intelligent systems that connect language, vision, and engineering. My research moves between large language models, computer vision, generative AI, and physics-informed learning, with structural engineering as the foundation from which I extend AI into broader scientific and industrial applications.

About Me

My passion for research began in 2019, when I joined the 34th university-level scientific research competition and was fortunate enough to win first prize. That moment set the tone for everything that followed.

After graduating in 2020, I balanced a full-time engineering career with continuous research and self-study. Five years later, in 2024, I was awarded a full PhD fellowship by the FCT, the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, allowing me to dedicate myself to research at the University of Minho.

Along this journey I have built deep, hands-on experience across a wide range of fields: metaheuristic optimization, structural health monitoring, digital twins, and increasingly Artificial Intelligence as the connective tissue between them. Today, AI sits at the center of my work, and through it I have published Q1 journal articles and contributed to research projects spanning engineering, science, and applied intelligence.
